The Corriedale sheep is found on sheep farms all over New Zealand. Its wool has a clear even crimp and is smooth and easy to spin and felt. This beautiful all-purpose fiber is popular for both traditional wet felting as well as dry felting with a needle. Leave unspun and create painted wool pictures or spin into a fine to medium woollen, worsted or semi-worsted yarn. Corriedale will bulk after washing and has good elasticity. Yarn spun from this fiber is ideal for baby wear, woven, knitted or crocheted garments. Micron 27-30, Staple length approx. 11cm (4¼ins)
The sheep are well-cared for, sheared humanely and not mulesed.
Available individually by the ounce which measures approximately 2 yards.
It can be expensive to ship an order with large amounts of fiber. If additional funds are required, we will contact you.

I've used this for wet felting and love the colors! They are really soft and easy to work with and the price is great!

I was excited to try this out and was amazed at the deep rich color (butterscotch)! Can't wait to get more, the wool is so lovely, as is the price!

I have been using Ashford Roving for two years now and love it! The colors and textures are beautiful. I use this product to make soft, flowing angles. Each color is spot on compared to the picture online. The price cannot be beat! I do not buy wool from anywhere else.
