About Waldorf Dolls:
Waldorf dolls have simple features, are made of natural materials and stuffed with wool that warms up when being held.
Little boys and girls enjoy sharing their daily experiences with a favorite doll. A doll with unfixed features can easily be "ensouled" by the child making it happy, sad, excited or scared depending on the mood of the moment, giving the child the opportunity to express and experience feelings.
When we adults model loving care of babies and dolls our children imitate us and will treat these special dolls with loving care, too.

16" Button Baby and 9" Tiny Button's pudgy arms and legs are button jointed allowing for different poses, the ability to sit in the center of the bed without assistance and hold some posing. This is a shapely doll with a little bum and lovely legs and feet. A pattern for both a 16" and 9" button jointed baby, footy pajamas and diaper.
This is a pattern for those with some dollmaking experience. As a rule, one can finish this doll in a short amount of time once the stringing is understood as there is less hand sewing. The doll needs to be made very firm in order to hold the stringing. Joy highly recommends the use of her Stuffing Tool to achieve this. 14" Baby Companion Pattern ~ Joy's Waldorf Dolls
The Baby Companion Doll's separate limbs are sewn together for firmness and stability. Even though it is the most difficult of Joy's patterns it is a very satisfying doll to make. If one can really curb the tendency to over-stuffing, then, all will be well. Baby Companion is a doll that can take being slept all over and dragged everywhere. It is easy to repair, so you won't be bothered as much as with a button-jointed doll. This baby will need many baths in the sink with luke-warm water! See the washing instructions at the bottom of this page. Patterns included for doll, nightgown, nightsac and diaper.
