Thick Wool Yarn ~ Super 4-Ply The same yarn your Grandma and Great Grandma used - this thick 100% wool yarn is often recommended and perfect for children learning to knit. Also makes hunky hats or mittens or use for crafts, latch hook rugs, macrame and more. The wool from which this natural yarn is spun is not subjected to a strong acid bath so sometimes you'll find bits of hay and vegetable matter from the fields.  Children learning to knit will use needles in US sizes 10-11.  85 yds / 4 oz skein.
