Magic Wool by Jaffke and Schmidt
Learn how to use "magic wool" to create 14 enchanting fairy tale wool art pictures plus several 3 dimensional figures including doll house-sized woolen dolls, gnomes, a farmer, wool wrapped pipe cleaner animals (sheep, mouse, frog, bear, wolf, donkey), birds, and all the nativity figures. Also find advice for working with raw wool, creating pictures with children, and making a scene for a table puppet show (story included) using silk, wood branch blocks and wool.
Our plant-dyed Organic Fairy Wool or assorted colors of our Wilde Wool or Corriedale Wool roving (all found in our Fiber section) can be used on an 18" x 18" base of wool felt. Recommended felt background colors for the projects in the book are a medium shade of blue, natural and red. Although covered entirely by wool when you are finished the background will faintly show and can enhance your picture greatly.
You will also need an iron and tissue paper.
