Sanctuaries of Childhood ~ by Shea Darian

A wise and creative approach to nurturing a child's spiritual life; a call to fill the spiritual void our children experience from living in a fast-paced electronic age in which they are showered with information but sorely lacking inspiration. Revised 2nd edition.

In the words of Jerry Folk, Former Executive Director, Wisconsin Council of Churches: "This richly creative, gentle, user-friendly book weaves together poems, stories, music and prayers, selected with extraordinary sensitivity for the world and experience of childhood. Sanctuaries of Childhood is useful not only to members of traditional religious communities, but also to the many who feel disconnected from organized religion but who understand the importance of transendence and love in the human community."

Potluck Roving

A fine (approximately 24 microns) wool roving from right here in the United States dyed in random blends of multiple colors or stripes and so soft you can wear it against your skin. The fiber is "dyed in the wool" before carding so the roving is lofty and very easy to draft and spin. Great for beginning and intermediate spinners. Wet felts really well and needle felts beautifully.

The wool is first combed to remove debris and vegetation, then hand dyed in wonderful colors in small lots and then carded again to make a true roving product. Colors within a single dye lot will vary. If you are spinning or felting for larger projects it is recommended you work from multiple balls. 100% high quality domestic virgin wool grown, dyed and packaged in the USA. 8 ounce balls.
