In addition to the major holidays, our Customer Service, Shipping Department and Sandpoint shop will be closed the following days to spend time with siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins... you get the idea!
Our online shop is always open and orders received during our closures ship the next two business days after our return.

Online ordering vs. phone ordering: The best way to ensure quick delivery of your order is to place it online. The orders go directly into our system allowing for faster order processing and packing. If you are new to online shopping, you can scroll down this page for basic instructions.
Phone order: We are happy to take your phone order. If online ordering is not an option for you, you can rest assured that we are equipped to safely and securely receive your order and credit card information over the phone. Please have your order list prepared in advance.
Order status questions: Please allow time to receive your order. If your order has shipped, a tracking number was emailed to you. You can log into your account to track your order as well.
Product questions: Detailed information about all of our products is provided on our website. If you don't see the answer to your question after reading the product description, please email and we'll do our best to help you.
Phone contact: If you get our voice mail we are either packing orders or on the phone. It is very important you leave a message if you wish to speak with us. Voice mail is checked periodically during the work day and calls are returned the same or next business day whenever possible.
Out-of-Stocks: We do our best to keep our website accurate. In the event part of your order is not available we will contact you via email or phone so you can either cancel the item or select another. We do not split ship orders.
Idaho deliveries are subject to Idaho sales tax.
Recycling Policy: We recycle! And have been doing so since acquiring A Child's Dream in 1999. Office paper, cardboard, cans, bottles, whenever possible, we recycle it. We also give clean boxes, air pillows, packing "peanuts" and bubble wrap received from our vendors a second life and use them for shipping orders.
Wish List: We hope to have Wish List functionality again soon, software limitations have required we turn this feature off. A Child's Dream apologizes for any inconvenience.

Creating an account is optional: Creating an account is not required to place an order, you can checkout out as a guest if you wish. However, having an account does give you access to the following features:
- Order Status
- Return Requests
- Address Book
- Wishlists (currently unavailable)
- Recently Viewed Items
- Issuance of Store Credit
How to order: Adding items to your shopping cart can be done two ways. You can click the "Add to Cart" text on category pages for quick ordering or use the order button on the product pages. Ordering a product that comes in different colors, sizes or styles? Click through to the product page then open (by clicking) the drop down window(s) to view your options and make your selection. If there is a difference in price you will see it change on the product page.
If you have any difficulties, please phone or email. We are more than happy to help. Please note, phone orders are not automated and may take an additional day to process.
Combining orders (adding on to an existing order): RUSH orders cannot be combined. As a courtesy and when possible we let you combine one standard online order with an existing standard order.
For our shipping elves to get your request both orders must be placed online, within a short time span, and you must leave a note on the second order requesting they combine the two. If your first order has not shipped, they will do their best to accommodate you but this is not guaranteed as they are amazingly fast and efficient. Free shipping cannot be applied retroactively. Two orders are the maximum to combine. Please note, combining orders is time consuming and may cause delays.
Payment options: When checking out you will have the option to pay with Visa, Mastercard, Discover or PayPal. We accept online orders and credit card payments through our state of the art PCI compliant secure online order processor and through PayPal.
Credit card not accepted or declined: If you have double checked your numbers and the card's expiration date and are still having problems maybe one of the solutions below will help.
- It could be you are entering your zip code plus the 4 extra numbers and are using a dash to separate the two. Our credit card processor cannot accept the dash or a space so if using zip+4 enter all 9 numbers together without a hyphen or dash.
- If your card is declined and you know you have funds available, please contact your bank as they may have placed a temporary "hold" on your card. For your protection banks have sophisticated fraud detection methods that sometimes prevent legitimate use of credit cards.
- For problems paying with PayPal, please contact PayPal.
- You can always call us at (800) 359-2906 if you still need help or if you would prefer to pay over the phone.
Submitting your order: Please review your order and information carefully to make sure it is correct then click the Submit button. An order confirmation will be emailed to you immediately. Please, review this confirmation as well and reply to us right away with any corrections.

Gift Wrapping Service
Gift Wrapping options are available on the items where it is noted near the Add To Cart button on the product's page. You can add this service for $4.50 per item and preview your wrapping paper options in the View Cart window prior to checkout. Our gift wraps are made from recycled paper and the package is tied with a matching wool felt ribbon. Alternately, you have the option for a "Little Seasonal Gift Card with a Message" for $2.50.
Win a Gift Certificate!
Personal reviews of products can be helpful to other shoppers. As a way of saying "thanks for taking the time to write a review", we award a gift certificate to one writer of a product review each month. The winner is selected by a random number generator from reviews written that month and is not based on the nature of the review.
To be eligible to write a review you must have purchased the product while logged into your account. To write a review, log into your account on our website then go to the item you want to review and scroll down on the product's page to the heading that says Product Reviews. Click where it says Write a Review and share your thoughts.
Be sure to use your name (first initial, last name is adequate) so we can look up your email address and notify you if you're a lucky winner!
